Media Browser Community Tracker

The Community Tracker is a custom-built content management system designed to streamline the development of a professional media cataloguing application. The site tracks the development team's progress, providing a comprehensive database of the work done, and allowing users to submit bug reports and feature requests.

I've been working with the developer of the content management system to produce a clean and easy-to-use design for the site. This has involved creating a CSS design to tie in with the CMS output, and working with the developer to improve and optimise the XHTML produced by the system.

Company intranet site

As part of a redesign of a company intranet site, I produced a number of proof of concept pages. Through questionnaires and testing sessions, it was determined that users found the existing intranet over-complicated and had trouble locating information. The redesign aims to improve usability of the site and present information to the users more clearly.

As part of a university start-up publishing company, I created and launched a commercial Edinburgh-based lifestyle publication called 'eh magazine'. In my role as Design Editor, I was responsible for creating the look of the magazine and promotional material, and designing articles for five issues.
